Carel wanted to be a wizard but settled on stories and advertising. He is a coffee addict, chocoholic, and successfully managed to keep an orchid alive for over a year. Carel is fascinated by people: what they say, what they eat, what they believe, what they do in their spare time, and most importantly – what they read. “All these quirks make us who we are – bodies trying to make a life that is memorable and hopefully passing on all our good traits in some form.” Carel believed the communications industry borrows a plethora of ideologies and pieces from all corners and sectors of the world. This is what makes our industry so interesting, we never know what the next big story will be. We are all stories, whether we want to be, or not. We live in a world where new ideas are hard to come by, even if we don’t want to believe it. We have entered an era where we need to solve more complex problems than we ever imagined, and these problems have become far more collective. The time of “working alone” is over.
