Anna is EMEA Chief Strategy Officer at VML where she is responsible for the strategic output of the region. She works across key VML clients, including Nestle, Dubai Tourism, Postcode Lottery, Boots and Wendy’s to deliver ground-breaking and effective work. Anna is also responsible for establishing VML’s connected brand proposition across the EMEA region.
Prior to VML, Anna was Chief Strategy Officer at VMLY&R and TBWA\London. During her time at TBWA, she pioneered the practice of pairing planners in teams, and saw the agency win the Health & Wellness Cannes Lions Grand Prix in 2021 for #StealOurStaff, and IPA Gold and Effie Grand Prix in 2018 for Lidl’s sustained effectiveness.
Anna began her career as a WPP Fellow before joining Grey London to work on brands such as Fairy Liquid and Lucozade. She also spent time at BBH where she was Planning Director on the British Airways and Mullen Lowe where she ran Dulux, Sloggi and the Samaritans.
Anna was a member of the German national swimming team as a teenager and just missed out on the Olympics. She recently published her first book The Rebuilders: Going from Setback to Comeback in Business and Beyond. Most importantly, she is the proud mother of Rosamund and Otto.
