Sian Whitnall is the Chief Digital Officer for OMD Australia, the largest media and communications agency in Australia in billings and size. Sian leads the OMD team in the creation and facilitation of marketing transformation strategies to maximise client’s data, technology and media investments. Sian works across OMD’s diverse client portfolio, which is comprised of some of the Australia’s most recognisable brands including; Suncorp, Qantas, Telstra, McDonald’s and Coles. She is passionate about working with brands to develop the right data, technology and digital solutions for their specific needs.
Sian has multi-market experience working across the UK and Australian markets and wide-ranging categories including Insurance, Banking, Travel, Luxury, FMCG and Telecommunications. Sian commenced her career at MediaVest and Initiative in the UK before relocating to Australia in 2013 to take her first role with OMD Sydney as Interactive Director, working across clients such as Qantas and Estée Lauder. In August 2017, she re-joined OMD as Head of Digital, Sydney from Ikon Communications, where she held the role of Head of Digital Amplification and Trading.
Just one year later, Sian’s stellar contribution to growing OMD’s digital product, driving new business success and creating stellar client work led her to promotion to Chief Digital Officer and joined the National Executive Team for OMD Australia. Most recently, Sian has been nominated for her influence in the Tech space through a range of global awards such as Campaign Asia 2018 and B&T’s Women In Media 2019.
